Hipper-than-thou INDIE dude seeks bandmates (DC (of course))

hey, what’s up? I am laptop player, but of course I can play bass, guitar, and drums, too. my friends know that I suck at at least 3 of those instruments, but I’m clueless.

my influences are any and all indie bands from williamsburg/brooklyn who are extremely obscure and on tiny, amoebic labels that are dripping with cred. if more than 200 people know about a band, they start to suck. I don’t care for “big” bands at all.

hopefully, there’s still time for me to be cool by growing gnarly beards and permanent bedhead. beard rock isn’t over yet, is it?

just a warning- I won’t like you if your amp isn’t “green”. my amps and drums are powered by solar panels and cow manure. I prefer to rock out by gnashing at ears with my tinny, crappy sound (it’s really uncool to have good tone) and my bovine flatulence powered montgomery ward amp is the ish.

right now I’m living in columbia heights. I have plenty of time to practice ‘cause my dad pays my rent. he doesn’t mind paying $1400 for a one bedroom for me to be able to live in a hip part of town instead of shelling out $900 a month so I could live in falls church or some boring, non-indie-cool place like that.

I can just see it now- our cats-eye glasses wearing girlfriends will come to our shows and read books while we play. and I’d prefer we not say anything on stage. hope this is ok.
